This time the install failed: error 1721. I haven't tried the beta versions, haven't heard anything good about them, only negative comments and problems. I think it's in Phoenix's court to fix the problem because Win 10 is going to be the only option for people buying new P/C's and they're not going to be happy if they can't run the sim.
likely something changed there, but I'll be damned if I know what. I seemed to have been better off before I installed the latest Win 10 cumulative updates.hmmmmmmm. At this point I can live with it but would be happier if it wasn't such a dog coming up. I did try to apply the DirectX (fix) mentioned previously and it seems to work a bit better, but it's still slow to come up. I contacted phoenix support (after horizon said they couldn't help me) and get the latest 'launcher' install and that got me up, but when It got to the view of the flying location, the heli wasn't there and it took over a minute to show up and finally work. After over 5 minutes, it'd come back saying some kind of server error.
It kept telling me there was a new version (I'm at 5.0w) do i want to install and I'd click yes and that was all she wrote. Well, I didn't have a problem with the graphix, just the loading.
